packs.chat is a self-hosted, first-party live chat and analytics tool. This widget only appears on websites where the site owner has explicitly installed it.

What is collected

• Approximate location derived from your IP address (country, city, region — not GPS or precise coordinates)
• Browser name, operating system, and device type (inferred from your User-Agent string)
• Pages you visit on this website, including URL and page title
• Referrer URL (the page you arrived from)
• Time and duration of your visit session
• Messages you send through the live chat

What is NOT collected

• GPS or precise geolocation
• Passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal data
• Data from other websites (cross-site tracking)
• Canvas or font fingerprinting
• Device hardware identifiers

How data is used

Data is used solely for customer support, website security monitoring, and aggregate traffic analytics for the site owner. It is not sold, shared, or sent to third parties.

Data retention

Session and pageview analytics are automatically deleted after 90 days. Chat messages are retained for support reference.

Self-hosted & first-party

All data is stored on the site owner's own server. No third-party SaaS, cloud database, or analytics service is involved.
